November 11 - Veterans Day

A big THANK YOU to all our veterans, whether you served in peacetime or in war. THANK YOU to all who are currently serving at home and abroad. We may not all agree with the conflicts our country is involved in, but hopefully we can stand behind the brave souls who are guarding our freedoms.

The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. In 1918, this was recognized as Armistice Day, the official end of World War I. In 1954, President Eisenhower passed a bill proclaiming November 11th to be Veterans Day. It is meant to thank living veterans, and to emphasize that everyone who has served, not only those who have died for their country, has sacrificed and done their duty.

We can celebrate by giving to local organizations that help our veterans. Here in LA, check out New Directions.
