According to this site, today is Cookie Monster's birthday! I too love cookies, so I feel I have a special bond with Cookie Monster.

Oddly enough, this holiday does not exist to promote television viewership.

But it should.

If you're like me, you are baking pies and generally getting ready for Thanksgiving. For your pie-baking pleasure, you should simultaneously view Pushing Daisies, on ABC. The main character bakes pies and solves crimes with his alive-again girlfriend.

For your kitchen nightmares, check out Kitchen Nightmares on FOX. Chef Ramsay does swear quite a lot, so you may not want your children to view this, even though the swearing is bleeped out.
